Download Minecraft 26.40.22 for Android – the Sulfur Cube is no longer an enemy, the sky can now be seen from underwater, and thrown eggs no longer launch everyone into the air.
The Sulfur Cube in Minecraft 26.40.22 is no longer an enemy
This Minecraft Bedrock beta is almost entirely about the Sulfur Cube. The full version number is 1.26.40.22, and it's arriving on Android via Google Play. Most importantly, the game finally stops treating the cube as a hostile mob, and this brings a whole host of nice little changes.
What's changed in its status?
The cube no longer stomps when moving, doesn't break the snow layer when leaving a bucket, and after "spitting out" a block, it no longer sinks and gets stuck. If there's magma inside, nearby Frost Walker boots no longer take damage.
New Sulfur Cube Spawn The spawn logic has been rewritten—cubes now spawn more consistently and in more places.
Sky from Underwater in Vibrant Visuals
Dive and you can see clouds, the sun, the moon, and stars right through the water. This is the first time this has worked with Vibrant Visuals. We've also fixed distorted mob textures with PBR packs with heightmaps: creatures no longer turn into mush.
What else has been fixed on Android
Thrown eggs no longer launch their target into the air when they hit. Shulker boxes once again play the "pop" animation when picked up from the inventory.
The fire overlay has been adjusted for Java—rotated by 45° and moved down to reduce the blinding effect of the flames in the center of the screen.
We fixed a flickering crosshair in split-screen mode and improved resource pack downloads for multiplayer on phones with low RAM: the old cache is cleared, and packs are downloaded one at a time. The APK can be installed for free over the old version.
